The Company

This fast growing multi-national online retailer specialising in kitchen and homeware, with strong business relationships across Europe, China and the USA are now looking for an experienced PR Executive to join their Content & Marketing department.

The Candidate

Confident in the ways and wiles of the modern day journalist, blogger and social media aficionado; they are looking for a talented PR Executive keen to join a fast growing SME within the ecommerce sector.

Their ideal candidate will have at least two years’ agency or client-side experience, be au fait with the online and print media landscape, social media savvy and results-focused. Time Inc, Hearst, Archant: you’ll know who’s who on the media desks and the features they cover. Likewise, you’ll be a digital whizz on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram.

You’ll have worked on an array of national consumer, trade and blogger campaigns (with an impressive portfolio to match) as well as managed social media accounts for customer-centred brands.

Behind the scenes, you’ll be diligent, organised, team-focused and an excellent communicator.

The Role

You’ll work across key areas within the Content & Marketing department, and day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Developing and implementing outreach strategies to increase their online visibility
- Sourcing regular press and blogger opportunities through PR tool Response Source
- Harnessing a network of blogs, social media and authority sites to ensure maximum exposure for their products, brands, website and marketplace
- Creating and maintaining relationships with key influencers in the Home, Kitchen and Food industry
- Producing jam-packed, well-evaluated coverage reports
- Taking an active role in building engagement, trust and loyalty on their social media platforms

Essential Experience & Qualifications

A proven track record in outreach, PR and digital networking within an agency/client side is crucial; as is a bachelor’s degree with a minimum grade of 2:2, preferably in a related marketing/business degree.

An understanding of SEO and the importance of ethical outreach would be advantageous.
